What is a PRP fat graft?
- PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) is a highly enriched plasma containing platelets that assist skin growth, which is gained by two-stage centrifugation of a patient’s blood.
- Through a combination of PRP and auto fat grafting treatments the highly enriched plasma is extracted from the blood and injected with fat cells. This special PRP and fat combination will result in activation of the fat cell influenced by the growth factor found in the PRP platelet, which causes improved engraftment rates, healing of damaged skin and restoring aged skin through the increase of elastic collagen fibers.
How is the PRP harvested?
A syringe of blood is taken from the patient, once or twice as necessary
The blood is subject to double centrifugation
The platelets are separated from the plasma
Injection into skin
Injecting the PRP into the targeted spots for treatment.
